Being an uncle is highly recommended because you get all the fun bits, and none of the hassle or hard graft. I'm an uncle of triplets, and seeing them at the hospital for the first time was a bit gross, as they were very premature. Having kids in the family is all very Darwinian though, as you really can spot family resemblances, quirks and mannerisms in their personalities and character as they grow up.
