• Navigate to the folder: 'program files\steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players' and open the file config_mp.cfg

• Change scoresping_interval from 100 to 20, and maxbars from 4 to 10 (10 is the max).

• If I'm interpreting things correctly, this means that each of the 10 bars represents 20ms, with full green being 20ms or lower, and 1 red being 200ms or higher.

The truth? You might wanna pound a few beers before you read this:

• The host is immediately obvious, he's the guy with 0-20 ping (full green).
• I usually connect with about 101-200+ms.
• Most people are connected at 200+ms (3 or less bars on normal cfg settings).
• On regular cfg settings, 4 bars means up to 0-100 ping, 3 bars up to 101-200, 2 bars up to 201-300, 1 bar is 301+.

here's the settings which are allowed to be changed so far:

maxpackets set to 100
maxfps set to 125
grenade warning while scoped turned on
special nade warning turned on
lagometer turned on
snap set to 30 (this is whats best for me you may want to play with that has to be 20-40)
added a better way of seeing the ping bars.Now theres 10bars heres an estimate of what the 4 bars mean
4 bars means up to 0-100 ping, 3 bars up to 101-200, 2 bars up to 201-300, 1 bar is 301+.
With 10 bars its easier to see what your actual ping is

I havent been playing it, I tried to download the Skidrow version for SP, but having only downloaded 100mb of 11GB after 3 hours I thought "[f*ck] that, I've got better things to do" and gave up.

I've been better at COD4 lately, I've really looked into my class selection and come up with several good classes, now im nailing down the best ones to use per map.

even with everything turned off/lowest i can't get the 125fps

as for the ping bars, it does show a better view of your ms ping
americans are so easy to spot now, appart from them being utter noobs

maxpackets and snap, im sure it helps but hardly notice a difference
