Tell you what, put your computer back in the box it arrived it, and then take it back to PC World and tell them youre too retarded to own a computer :p

Assuming your mobo isnt fubar'd, it should beep to indicate a problem when attempting to boot. The number of beeps determines the cause of the problem....usually something is not seated properly in the mobo slots (ie: ram, cpu or graphics).

To test, take out your RAM and graphics card, then try booting up - you should get some beeps, then stick your graphics card in and boot again - again you should get beeps, then put your RAM in and boot again
You're assuming it has a speaker connected :p

Let's find out what he's got first before trying to diagnose it. He is welsh afterall, how do you expect to understand terms like "bios", "cmos" and "motherboard" :D

I've heard Hanzy talk!
Some people are like Slinkies. They’re not really good for anything; but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs!

place steak and kidney pie inside ,turn on computer wait half an hour , remove pie

lol better still see the white tab/jumper in poopo,s pic next to battery thts the cmos reset switch.
switch off comp unplug it from mains, decharge any residual power ie press start button
either pop the battery out or place tab/jumper on pin 1/2 to reset then replace on pins 2/3.
turn system back on press f1 at boot usualy
next up will be if its a system with no floppy drive, why do,s the floppy error come up each time i switch on , or my cpu is incorrectly reported

all youve done hopfully is the bios has kept your old cas settings and adding the new ram confused it
when adding anything to a system always take the old out reset bios then put new in and boot there by eliminating conflict somtimes in ram timings saved to bios

all this info is in the manual you should have got with the computer , if you dont have it #
go to the respective site and download the pdf file
of just type in google "how to reset bios"
