Can some of you who get to play loads of different titles(Mr Plum for one) please rate the following so I know what to purchase.
At present I am playing Metro 2033 and I enjoy it giving it an 8/10 for fun and it cost £5. (I have done the stalker series)
BIO SHOCK 2
RAGE
CRYSIS 2
BULLETSTORM
DEUS EX HUMAN REVOLUTION
HOMEFRONT
FEAR 3
DUKE NUKEM FOREVER
DEAD ISLAND when it drops below £10
If you have any suggestions of your own that I have missed please let me know. They need to be last years titles so they are dead cheap.

Oh dear lord, that's a really, really, really crap list of games.
If someone places a gun against your head and you absolutely had to play one of them, then go for either:
DEUS EX HUMAN REVOLUTION or DEAD ISLAND
Both score circa 70%, so you can imagine how bad all the other games on the list must be. Yes, Metro is a very good FPS but there is nothing on your list in that league.
=======
In recent years the sp FPS genre has been completely lobotomised by developers and publisher pandering to the technical needs and game playing tastes of console players, and there are very few really good sp shooters being made any more.
The last two good shooters were Stalker Call of Pripyat, and Metro, and yes they are that few and far between these days.
To be honest there is much more fun to be had in other sp genres, and the RPG genre just had an amazing year last year, with loads of really good games being released and it gave birth to two instant sp 90% classics, namely the Witcher 2 and Skyrim. Both games are to recent to have dropped in price much, but make a note of both, because they are really enjoyable games.
There is however some better news in the bargain basement draw of another genre, and that's the sp RTS genre, because Amazon are now selling Shogun 2 for £4.99, and it's a really great game. It's probably the best sp RTS to have been released since Company of Heroes, and given a choice between playing an average FPS or a really great RTS, I know which one I would buy.
If that doesn't float your boat, then try the Mass Effect trilogy, because they are a huge amount of fun. The third one has just come out, so it's still full price, but the first 2 in the series are being discounted. You can buy all three for £40 at Amazon as a bundle, or just pick the first one up by itself for £7 to try it.
-------------
The following are outside of your normal comfort zone, but they are all all an amazing amount of fun in sp, ans they are all as cheap as chips:
Kings Bounty
Torchlight
Mount and Blade Warband
Risen
Anno 1404
Fallout New Vegas
Two Worlds Two
Sacred 2
Dragon Age
Titan Quest
Civ 4 Beyond the Sword
Etc,
It's a very long list, but what I'm trying to say is that you are depriving yourself of a huge amount of fun in other genres, if you concentrate to heavily on sp shooters. Yes, I know your gaming time is limited, but the quality stuff is found in other genres these days. Those genres don't have to be a huge time sink. You can blast though any of the above games a bit at a time, and play them at your own pace. Yes, all of the above will take a hell of a lot longer to play than your typical modern day 8 - 16 hour sp shooter, but playing one really memorable game that sticks with you for decades is worth far more than playing three or four shooters that you won't even remember in a year's time.

Thanks guys
Mr P, I am sorry but I cannot see myself riding an os and chasing dragons. new Vegas was good first time round.
I will check out ME 1 and 2 perhaps after deus ex then dead island when it drops a little more in value.

I much preferred two worlds 1 to two! And yes I know I'm the only person who did. On the others bioshock 2 was not as good 1 but ok if you can get it under a fiver, Rage was frustrating and short and deus ex is ok quite fun but short again.
i consider bioshock 1 and 2 amongst the best games i have ever played. Bulletstorm was whack (good fun though). Crysis 2 was dope
deus ex, v dope
and pff dead island, i got bored with it
too buggy to properly play and this kinda ruined my experience.
