Mafia II (2010 Release)

Just played the demo of Mafia II, looks very promising, a bit like GTA IV inbreeding with The GodFather lol, shame it doesnt appear to offer a LAN/MP option as that would be awesome.

I also tried the Kane & Lynch 2 demo - what a load of consolised crap that was, played it once, removed it, nuff said!

the demo on steam is well worth playing.

demo has a 10min limit on driving through the city,
but with a little tweak you can stop the timer and mess about all you want (and search for the 5 uncensored playboy covers)

Just tried the tweak to pause the timer, but it looks like they have modifed the EXE as the instructions are not valid for my EXE (different hex values for line: 000F5380)

tweaked mine on version 1.0 and even after the update it works

thats one draw back with the auto update on steam. some items update and when u go to see what its done it says nothing..youve been warned
turn it off

Mkay, cracked the timer, again.

1) Download HxD and open mafia2.exe in it
2) Search (menu) -> go to -> type 005594C0
3) On that line look for 44 24 08 D9 56 4C
4) Replace with 44 24 08 90 90 90
5) Cracked, enjoy

^ Cheers Hanz, however whilst it stops the timer, it crashes the game when you try to interact with anything (car wash and garage to name two)....theres only so many times I can answer that damn phone
