FIFA Online is a free to play massively multiplayer role playing soccer (football) game from EA Sports. FIFA Online is currently in open beta testing.

It has never been easy to get into the FIFA World Cup. Play in league mode and play friends or the Artificial Intelligence. The servers have been undergoing massive fixes in an attempt to keep them up under heavy demand.

The FIFA Online MMORPG also features player development, a management system, player equipment and items, and more.
I Tried it in the closed beta and the only downside i can think of is that it uses the same gameplay engine as FIFA 10.

Also no need to register if you already own a EA game (BF2, BFBC2...), you can use the same login.

A wise old man once told me the following:

Football Games = Gay

The best defence against software piracy is producing a game worth buying.

EA disagrees :p
FIFA 11 on PC will be a next-gen affair

Just when us PC gamers had all but given up hope for the PC version of EA Sport’s FIFA franchise, they’ve gone and announced that this year’s game will indeed feature a brand new, next-gen game engine that’s been in development for two years – finally bringing those top-class players to life with the stunning visuals we’ve seen on the consoles for a while.

After FIFA 10 was released last year with severely outdated graphical capabilities, the PC crowd wasn’t very happy at all – all kinds of questions were raised about the future of this series and sports games in general on our format of choice. FIFA 11, however, will come with all the bells and whistles of its console brethren – including next generation console-quality gameplay, game modes, visuals and the true 360 degree dribbling system.

“The EA SPORTS FIFA franchise is committed to investing and innovating for PC and this is a watershed moment,” said Executive Producer Kaz Makita. “We are delivering to FIFA 11 PC the high quality gameplay, innovative game modes and stunning graphics that have made FIFA the highest rated sports game on the PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 and winner of over 50 sports game of the year awards.”

At long last we may have a football game that’s worth playing on the PC, now all we need is cross-platform play so we can take the ass-whooping to those 360 fellows! Full features and game modes for FIFA 11 PC should be revealed in the “coming weeks and months”, with the game releasing in Europe on October 1st, 2010.
