Medal Of Honor: Modern Warfare incoming

New iteration in combat series will be set in current day, MCV can reveal

Modern Warfare 2 isn’t the only slice of non-historical conflict that games consumers will enjoy in the next few months:  MCV understands that the next iteration in EA’s Medal Of Honor series will be set in the current day.

A reliable industry source told MCV this week that “it’s a new take on the modern warfare idea – and will really help give the series the kick up the arse it needs”.

An EA spokesperson said that the firm had nothing to add to Monday's confirmation of a new Medal Of Honor game from its Q2 earnings call.

The last Medal Of Honor titles to be release in Europe were MOH: Airborne (PS3, 360, PC) and MOH: Heroes 2 (PSP, Wii)

MCV understands that the new title is expected to be released in February/March 2010 on 360, PS3 and PC – with an announcement due before Christmas.
medal of honor making a revival sooner then expected :?

There appears to be some proof in the MW2 MP EXE file that this game is an XBOX 360 port:

:: http://www.infinityward.com/forum/viewt ... 4&t=170116
This is basically the Modern Warfare MP .exe file extracted and translated into a text format using a hex editor. This way you can find any possible cvar/command in the game.

Try searching the document for "xbox", looks like this game really is a port after all.

Some examples:
006D9298: 'We suck as host - ending the game',0Ah,0
0071EB98: 'set systemlink 0; set splitscreen 0; set onlinegame 1; exec default_xboxlive.cfg',0
0070573C: 'menu_xboxlive_privatelobby',0

does this mean that there is no chance of SADS as it is a port from xbox.

Im not sure James.

Personally I dont think IW will ever release SADS for this game, they would loose face if they did. They're arrogant and their dev team is mostly comprised of 'console generation' devs.

Apparently the code for dedicated servers is still in the game: http://www.infinityward.com/forum/viewt ... 4&t=173052
