Final problem....

Now, this is actually the final, final problem i shall bother you guys with!

Sooo, welshie buys Windows 7 (64bit) but they charges him 44quid. Fine, he says....its not 30, but everytone rips us off these days! [f*cking] delivery charges etc.

Sooo, welshy installs everything as normal.

Wireless adapter. Wont install. Now.....i did expect this, but thought Belkin would have got their arses in gear..(isnt this WHY they beta test?GRRR) But basically yeah, if anyone can advise me...

It's a Belkin G+Mimo USB adapter, F5d....090 as the name and v3000. There isn't actually a Xp/Vista 64 bit...and theres nowt there for 7! Are my worst fears true in that i'll have to buy a new adapter? Gahhh!

i've been on the belkin website.... it doesnt work :S

It fails to install, is unable to install blabla. And in Xp the software would be there...and the device in device manager/network thing, but its not! it says setup finished but NOTHING installed! :S

absolute final issue, then i can get on for a game tonight

I need to install the Belkin G=mimo router (f5d9230-4, ver 5000) SOFTWARE for Xp32bit, i can find the firmware but need the software...left the disk in cardiff

And googling isnt helping me!

i did this before and it didnt work..... the disc was needed for something! So if i do this firmware change, it will work fine?

i take it your still trying to go wireless when all u have to do is plug the rj45 in and play
told u to get a 15 metre cable


I need to install the Belkin G=mimo router... no u dont its a stand alone unit unless you have it usb connected

to see what your routers doing u only need to type in the ip address to set up other options inside the software/hardware of the route

So if i do this firmware change, it will work fine
yes .but we still couldnt say wether you,d be able to get online

i did this before and it didnt work ,,,,i had 2 wanks and found on the 3rd time i tried it didnt work but after some time it was working again
