why dont we all use 64bit then?

It would appear there is little support for it, atleast that seemed to be the case with Vista....poor driver choice, some software/games wouldnt run, etc.

I'm on Win7 64bit atm and so far it runs all progs that I also use in Vista 32, also the problem with PB seems to be solved in this build (7600-16385) cause I dont had to do the tricks I've posted before here ^^

i mean like is 64bit some sort of new tech so why dont all drivers have support for 64bit is it because its not used very much or its not as stable or more difficult to develop them for it?

you need a 64-bit processor, scary, and these have really only just become mainstream.
they're saying w7 will be the last ms os with 32-bit compatibility - but they said that about vista!
it'll be intersting for those of us that use Vista when w7 arrives. We've mostly upgraded to 4Gb RAM. The massive memory footprint and 64-bit driver issues formed most of the complaints about Vista. Will 4GB be overkill for w7?

using win xp 64bit yet to see anything suprising . had no issue with any drivers and if i did id just use the 32bit ones as winknobs xp 64 can jump between both sets (w7 has virtual xp but again ur cpu and mobo dependant if u too can run it)w7 isnt 32bit compliant either from initial details

but my conclusion is not much seems to fly whether im using a 3200 64bit enabled cpu or this 7750 x2 ,still trundles on as 3/5 seconds diffrence is never calculated by the mind eye,either way it still takes me that long to open a tin .encoding is a bit faster but then again is that the avivo doing its job or windods.

all in all im off to set fire to it again as thats the only joy i get from computing now.besides porn and halite

windows 7 comes with both 32 and 64 bit...you cannot buy the 2 versions seperately

Its gone up in price now - the Pro edition is now £160 if u pre-order, it was around £100 when I last looked
