Turnip played on his 'halls' connection at uni the whole time i was in sas... there must be away!! i just dont know it - i dont even know why it would be difficult.. turn on the computer, go online, log in to game... fck em?

Depends if you're uni network block UDP packets, since most online game use them to transfer data.

I play cod4 all the time in uni halls we host a lan server and every1 on local network can play it.
i can play some games on the internet but cod4 is a bitch sometimes as i get key code authorization message for hours.
chronic spend the majority of his freshers play cod2 online so i can see the problem.
