So how does that work then? Is it legit?

I've bought a game key from Kinguin before without issue (cant remember if steam or origin), however I've never pre-ordered a game via Kinguin. They have been around for a while though - bear in mind other users can sell keys so look for one with 100% feedback (such as GameFactory for example).

Iv'e had no issues with them. Bought a couple of titles ... bear in mind that it's a grey market (aka not official resellers of gamekeys). I think titles are picked up in countries where prices are lower and then resold. In a case not so long a go a number of keys where identified as stolen thus deactivated. That was keys sold of g2a.com. They compensated customers who bought the supposedly illegal keys..
