Thats scary, I was only reading up on this the other day when I downloaded Oolite in a fit of nostalgia...

May not be doomed Shags, they were over subscribed for the initial Kickstarter project and the donations do come in at lower demoninations for obviously less goodies...

Only scary thing is the onus Braben is said to be putting into making it astrologically accurate. If I wanted a Planeterium I would go to one...or go to a Brian Cox lecture...

However if I wanted to go toe to toe with Thargoids....

Why would anyone pay 3x the retail price to beta test, you want the anal's for beta testing, not the minted

True, depends on whether their dedication runs to gold plated sphincterdom or they just have more money than sense.

Maybe just for once they are using the beta testers as a focus group rather than the usual "Bugs what bugs?" and "Play it your way...unless its not the way we want you to play it"...

Still looks sexy mind, but I think I will wait to splash £40 on the real deal...
