Right gimpos!

I am looking to build a new system.

I have already bought an ATI Sapphire HD 5970
750w PSU
Antec 1200 Case
Hard Drive

So, i am looking for RAM and new motherboard and processor! I reallly really really like the prettines of the ROG (republic of gamers boards) by Asus! And there's one for the i7 (rampage iii) or the am3 socket (crosshair iv)

Sooo am i better off going for the phenom x4 965 i currently have, with the crosshair board, or the i7 with the rampage motherboard (it must be red, black and pretty) I know i need RAM aswell, but this will be the last purchase

I have no idea about the quad AMD CPUs, but the intel i7 930 (quad with Hyper Threading) I have is awesome and works well with my sexy Gigabyte X58A-UD5 mobo (pics: http://www.22ndsas.info/forums/viewtopi ... =13&t=8374)

Do the motherboards support DDR3 ram, and if so what speed (FSB)?
