It wont effect our bandwidth that much, only the
flash player (SWF file) and
[22ndSAS] VIDEO preview image is hosted locally on our webserver, the actual video is streamed from its original location, so if you embed a YouTube video - you're using their bandwidth

Yes mate and very jolly he is indeed.
As a new year present can you make it that when you click on a URL link it opens in a new tab by default or at least a new window. My back button is broke and I'm too tight to buy a new keyboard what with having 5 mouths to feed.

Sorry mate, but creating links that open new tabs/windows automatically is both a useability and accessibility "no no" as it is not an expected behaviour of clicking a link.
If you're using FireFox as a web browser, you can configure it to open all links in a new tab/window, I think Opera and IE8 also support this.

I think most people here think it's annoying that you have to click back from an external link to this forum, most other forums/websites open linkies on a new tab cause thats what users expect.
Maybe start a poll?
