Whose developing it?

Im pretty sure now that nothing has been learnt from Farcry 2. The Farcry 1 community told them what features FC2 should have to make it great when it was first announced, the list of features was realistic and would have made it game of the year if they had listened, however fuckall of the features where used in the game....shows how much they listen.

All wasnt lost though, they could have tried to save the game with patches.....but again they failed to listen to the community and only addressed minor issues, as it stands now, Farcry 2 looks like it will never see another patch, and even if it did, its highly unlikely it will make the changes required. The game has been dead so long I doubt it could be resuscitated.

FC3 would not be a pre-order item for myself.

Far Cry 3 was announced when Ubisoft's Kevin Shortt said the game was looking 'pretty exciting'. Now, IncGamers are reporting that the game will not be set in Africa. Though the Official PlayStation Magazine (Christmas 2009, Issue 039) could point to where the sequel to the critically acclaimed Far Cry 2 will be set.

In an article entitled 'Far Cry 3 is coming', it states "...narrative designer Patrick Redding mentioned that a sequel would likely retain an Africa setting, though he also mentioned Antarctica as a possibility."

Interesting. Far Cry 3 in Antarctica could be a huge factor for sales and anticipation. We'll bring you any updates of the sequel.
