Yeah, thats right it was you, only you and nobody else but you... :D

What miraculous new information was revealed...?
Maybe it was in code.... :?

*thats one less issue to be patched now she had to spend time posting... ...they have to recover those time and material somewhere :(

the fact that they got off there arse and spoke to the community is a bit of progress, maybe they will keep on posting instead of hiding under the desk.

Greg, please tell me you dont seriously think that is the case? :?

Kimi is tearing her hair out behind the scenes trying to get resolution to the major issues; ie the ones preventing people playing at all while at the same time trying to *do what they do* with the remainder.

Did you read my post in that thread?
15000+ posts on the forums in 8 days.

Just stop for a minute and try and imagine the man hours it takes to collate something constructive from that?
We have 4 Kimi please talk to us threads, at least 7 "this is what we want in the patch" threads, countless repatition of the same bugs in seperate threads, I could go on an on.
Then throw into this the fact that the [f*cking] UK support site Q&A support system fell over... :x

You will never hear me defend UBI for shipping a game in this condition, but be realistic about what to expect wrt a patch.

I dont have ANY inside knowledge atm of this, so I am speculating now, but you basically have two options when shipping a game.
1. Have key issues you know about ready to be fixed with a patch on or around launch day/week
or
2. Wait a week or two to get all the major issues for consideration for resolution in the 1st patch.

1 = Happier customers straight off but might take longer to resolve new issues
2 = Unhappy customers until the [sh*t] is fixed, but by only patching it once the shareholders are happier - any SW release costs an overhead in QA and distribution

I think its safe to say which model is being followed here, but it appears that the level of problems has actually taken them by suprise - just judging from the number of unresolved issues.

BTW sorry if this is coming across as a rant at you, its not meant to be, just letting of some steam which I cant do over there :p

let it all out man let it go.

they should have done a beta demo a company that size should not make school boy errors like whats happend with the game.

most of the problems spotted on the first day by old school farcry players where simple to spot errors not technical based problems. i dont think any excuses can be made for basic issues like we have seen.

i dont doubt the commitment they are probebly giving right now but a little more care and listening to people would of stopped any of this silly business.

you must relise CuZ that all the things we thought might go wrong went wrong!!! and the list you gave to ubisoft many moons ago where all completly ignored we cant forget that mate and i know it bugs you.

I admire your commitment to ubisoft CuZ but sometimes things have got to be said and unfortuently i cant help voice it.

rant away CuZ :good:

You really have no clue how much... :x
We gave them the perfect MP system on a plate - hell but for the weapons fookups the 1.4 version of FC wasnt far off - and from what you say it at best was ignored.

I am waiting to press that issue until I have played it myself, after which I may not be a mod there much longer... who knows... :(

But you are still talking about techincalities - there are people out there that cant even launch the game, and that has to be their priority right now....

**In other news, the Jackal Hunt game has been patched, but still isnt working properly**

mate you have hit the nail right on the head there.

your right you have not played the game yet and till then your frustrations will not be let out, not until you have tested it yourself will you relise the faults with the game

it seems to me that the PC version has been rushed....have you read the readme.txt that came with the game, jesus cant UBI afford a spell checker? (so many mistakes)

i havent managed to get online with my version yet, admittedly i only try a couple of times and give up. but then i dont feel like i should have to sit for 20mins to connect to a game...plus im on vista 64 so i dont think PB is going to work anyway.

there are some really simple mistakes though, the redifine keys for a start!

i always play with my same key set and to enter a vehicle i press

one key to enter
another key to change to gun
that key again to change back to drivers seat
another key to exit

common!

ubi need to pull some amazing patch out the hat, but they are in deep water as there is so much to fix!

Whilst Im happy with the SP and Map Editor, I'm absolutely gutted with the MP problems (and lack of features).

In fact, I feel a little guilty that some people may have purchased the game based off my (joe public gamer) comments in the UBI Fanday thread, I didnt get chance to see any of the MP on the PC and I think I know the reason why now.

I wasnt impressed with the reason given for not including assault at the fanday, but if I'd have known it was so poorly structured I'd have made more noise about it.
