I'm going to salvage all my other bits from my old rig but I've been having a look and I've changed my mind again I'm ganna go for a amd set up for wen the bulldozer chip comes out :good:

Best to wait for the benchmarks. after this read I have my doubts it will be any better then intel i7 2600k.

But it will be substantially CHEAPER :p a £200 AMD will be faster than £200 Intel stop comparing clock speeds and compare prices instead

Very similar to my setup.......

I have phenom ii x4, crosshair iv formula (its one sexy motherboard!) Are the 6 series actually much better than the 5 series ati? They just look to be cheaper than the 5 series were...........

according to this chart your 5970 should be equal to the 580. :p
