the fact that some mmo's have subscription fees i can live with, but the Call of duty series which may
switch to subscription fees is just pushing it...
as for APB, it needs a lot more polishing (bugs & lack of content) if you read all the
reviews out there.

yeah and dame judy dench for stripper of the year award
if your a steam user 2 free games came our way in the form of
alien swarm not a bad game but nothing too special but fun in co-op 4 player mode(especialy when bowser forgets he,s got a gun in his hand and blows hanzy away loool)
(its the mod they made for the ut4 game donkeys ago also dosent have the 8 man team play only 4
check out the diffences as there will prolly be a vid on you tube ut darker more forboading with aliens looking hud steam version like some mario console version all bright looking)
moonbase alpha ..which is a team play game . the jist is your on a moon and need to repair the oxygen machines using robots, spanners ,welders etc
its a race against the clock with high empasis on team work not to mention stealing each others tools/moon buggys (sound like scouse heaven)
im not joking try it ,its not bad for hangover days with simple puzzles to solve

Well, it would appear KARMA does happen in the gaming industry.
As a result of creating a [sh*t] game, the software development house behind APB has gone tits up and entered administration!
Rather sad news for the Scottish games industry today as is has been confirmed that Dave Jones' Realtime Worlds has gone into administration. Last week the studio revealed that layoffs were underway as part of a restructuring plan to focus development on APB.
The troubles began following a lukewarm response to their GTA styled MMO action title APB, which although it had a relatively smooth launch, fell short of expectations from critics and the gaming community.
Begbies Traynor is handling the administration process. Comments from Begbies Traynor reps indicate that a buyer will be sought for the company and APB may continue to be developed and operated.
TIGA's Richard Wilson commented: "This is a very sad day for Realtime Worlds, Dundee and for the Scottish and UK video games industry. Realtime Worlds is a fantastic company with an exceptionally talented team, management and board of directors."
APB has shown huge potential as an online game and with any luck it can continue to operate. However it does require more development and the content really does need to be improved.
I've highlighted the bit I think is being a little kind, if the company was so fantastic they wouldnt have released such a crock of [sh*t] that would generate poor sales and bankrupt them. As a result, the APB game may die sooner than later if no buyer is found who will continue to develop the game....which means more PC users would have been cheated out of their hard earned cash.

even the publisher EA says the game isn't that great.
what can you expect if the only way to get banned is by handing yourself in...

at least all those people who forked out £30.00 can rest in the knowledge ,they now own a dvd spare box and coaster plus some reusable plastic coated booklet to wipe their ass on :0
sympathie i have none (im back to pirating things as games seem to have taken a step back in development, just played star wars the force unleased and for some reason its worse than the original game that came out years ago, figure that one out oh but it doe now have bendable doors ?)

I've just forked out a whole £5 on Monkey Island Special Edition Bundle, it contains The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2, why is it the special edition?....well the graphics, sound and music have all had a huge overhaul and it does look rather dapper!

my first guess would be that the reason for it being special, is the clear fact of bundeling two games and selling them as one.

Its still a poor GTA IV rip off though
