I quite enjoy the mp game play, it's the ranking system and server hastle that annoys me (and the securom )

Just installed it, i'll give it a shot in MP today/tonight, singleplayer didn't really impress me (then again, i always get bored in singleplayer games after 15 minutes)
Nice gfx, but the i find the movement a bit awkward and why the [f*ck] do all enemies have more health then an average Terminator.

I have my hopes on the multiplayer, if it's just close to FC or shows some potential for future patches its fine with me
Remember FC1 multiplayer wasn't exactly brilliant when launched, and look at how much we all played that once it got fixed.
I'm getting slightly worried though after all i read here :P

My findings ^^

I started it up, played for 10 minutes and logged off disappointed. My initial thought was i would never ever play this again.
It took me half an hour to figure out how to actually get into a game. And when i got in one, it just felt crap and i didn't like it a bit.
Somehow i expected, maybe hoped, to just have 'more of the same'. The old farcry with some revamped gfx. Big disappointment if you go into MP with that expectation, because at first glance, it has none of that. (and, to be honest. How crap would it be if after 4 years, they only revamped some gfx and gave us the same old stuff. We would bitch more at the game then we do now, i can tell you that).

And then i had a cup of coffee, watched some tv. And somehow i ended up starting up FC2 again, and i played DeathMatch for a while, just to see if it would improve and if it was really that crap, or if it was just me not being used to it and starting off with the wrong expectations.

And I can happily say, after a while...slowly but firmly, if you JUST HANG IN THERE... It does get better and actually fun (although i only tried DM) and dare i say it.... good!
After a while I even think I started to get the 'old FC' feeling again. Hell, I even ended up top of the list end of the night, as a reward for me not giving up on it ^^.
It's not the same as the old FC, but at the same time it actually is very similar...
Just different maps, slightly different movements, just a new environment you need to get used to a bit.
I think as soon as we get familiar with the maps (what routes can you walk without being pwned, where do ppl spawn, where are the sniper spots, where are the glitches, where is that moron with the feckin nade launcher etc) i think it will revive the old FC feeling we all once had (some still have :P).

I don't think the MP is bad at all, if you give it a chance.
It needs some tweaking definately, more activity, decent servers etc, but I see alot of potential tbh.
I'm not giving up without a fight, i'm gonna give it my support and hope it will turn out fine

Now to find out where you guys play so I can kick Godz arse again ^^

Hi Jiggy if you ask nicely I know there is a 22ndsas Hamachi group going. It's not ranked but at least we can all play together.

Ask Ice when he's hosting another night and if you promise him a BJ he might give you the details.

MP is very enjoyable for me now, just need to rank up and get the diamonds to upgrade weapons, weapons become better when you earn manuals but thats very difficult. once they fix the obvious problems it will be a good game
